How long should it take for me to read piano sheet music with lessons?

Ive got a electric keyboard for christmas and i want to take lessons just to learn how to read sheet music how long should it take%How long should it take for me to read piano sheet music with lessons?
dependign on the difficulty of the music, it can take anywhere from weeks to months. Generally, reading music isn't really that hard....it just takes getting used to. It's kinda like learning how to read and write ...the small words are the easiest but it takes some time to learn how to say and pronounce the bigger ones.

You could probably actually learn how to read music without an instructor or lessons. There are a lot of books, posters, diagrams...and other music-reading aids that can help you.

Umm....if you just want to learn single-note songs, it won't take too long. But chords will take you longer to read. They're not harder, just take a little bit longer to get used to.

Also, I'm not sure if this will help you, it helped me, but at first, you might want to label the notes/chords....but after a couple of times, dont' label the notes anymore. It'll be much harder, but it's quicker and will benefit your memory more. How long should it take for me to read piano sheet music with lessons?
